Common Teaching Ethics.



*A teacher should obey all the school rules and regulations wholeheartedly.

*A teacher is expected to mark the class register morning and afternoon.

*A teacher should sign in and out the school attendance book on a daily basis.

*A teacher shouldn't not eat in the class during teaching period.

*A teacher should not leave his/her class to another teacher's class during teaching periods.

*A teacher must used the movement book whenever he /she is leaving the school premises for whatsoever reasons.

*A teacher is expected to check thoroughly the pupils notes before marking them.
A teacher shouldn't sleep during teaching periods.

*Every teacher is expected to stay at the back of their pupils during the assembly and coordinate them.
Unnecessary discussion on the assembly ground is prohibited.

*Every teacher should leave the school when the pupils had left .

*Every teacher is expected to dress formally except on Wednesdays and Fridays.

*Every teacher is expected to be of good conduct and be a role model in the school.

*Abusive words or adult languages shouldn't be used in the midst of pupils.

*A teacher is expected to inform the school authority on any project he/she wish to carry out before it's execution , most especially if it's going to involve payment.

*Every teacher is expected to come to  school at the approved time.

*The official language among teachers and pupils in English, Yoruba can used to explain in some cases.

*Every teachers  is expected to submit their lesson note and registers on fridays for marking.

*No teacher should use foul language in while teaching the pupils in the class.

*For no reason should a teacher sleeps in the class during teaching periods.
*No teacher have the right to talk the propietress directly he/ she must first talk to the other heads of school before first.

* Every teacher is expected to bring new ideas and strategies that will help to improve the school in all areas.




Note:
Teaching is a profession not a job.
A lot of people mistake teaching  for a job there is a difference between a job and a profession.
So don't just come to teach because you want to earn salary when you don't have the  skills and techniques to deliver excellently.
Anything short of excellent in a teaching profession is a taboo.
To be a good teacher ,you need to acquire the basic skills , training and strategies required to deliver excellently.
You can can't give what you don't have.
Endeavour to learn and develop yourself on a daily basis.
