There’s something about old school romance that just warms us on the inside. One thing for sure is that Romeo and Juliet and the Titanic left us feeling some type of way. We saw a kind of romance that’s almost too good to be true and quite difficult to find.
Though the world is much more advanced now, experiencing true love depends on what you make of the time you have with your partner. When it comes to being super sweet and making your partner fall head-over-heels in love with you all over again, it can be fun to look back at decades gone by, steal a few of the best ideas, and make them your own.
Here are a few tips on how to put some old school romance into your relationship:
Write him a love letter
With technology at the core of our lives, it’s sometimes easy to forget that not everything needs to be done online or via text. Even if you aren’t the best with words, one of the sweetest things you can do is write a note expressing your feelings for your lover.
Arrive at your partner’s place with a surprise
While you don’t have to do this every time you see your partner, it can be super sweet to present them with a little token of your love once in a while. Why not give it a try and show up with a bottle of wine, chocolates, or a pizza? Sometimes, it’s the little things that count.

Make time for real dates
It’s easy these days to just hang out casually without putting much thought into it. Just like old school romance, once in a while, you should wear a nice dress and go out for a fancy dinner. There’s something incredibly classy about making reservations and heading on out with a plan.

Make one on one time special
Even the simple days at home can be used to show affection.  Rather than just staying glued to the TV or your phone, why not make the most of your time together? There’s something super sweet about making dinner at home and occasionally making a big deal about it. Put on some great music and let the events progress.  Slow dance around your apartment to beautiful music.
