Coconut oil is the holy grail skincare product. It can be used for literally anything. For your edges, diaper rash, boyfriend acting up, bank account empty (we kid). Coconut oil will fix it all.
But today, what we’re focusing on is how to use coconut oil to remove your make-up. If you didn’t know already, you’re meant to remove your makeup before you wash. Washing your face without taking off your make-up can actually make you break-out. Because as you wash, you could be pushing your make-up deeper into your pores. Read on for an easy way to remove your make-up with coconut oil.
Step 1
Pour some coconut oil into your hands and warm it up a bit. Don’t put too much at once or it’ll run down your fingers.
Step 2
For your eyes (If you’re wearing eye make-up) – Close your eyes and spread the oil around your eyelids and gently on your eyelashes. Be careful not to let the oil get into your eyes. As you spread the oil around, you’ll see your eyeliner, eyeshadow or mascara sliding off.
Step 3
For the rest of your skin – Pour some more oil in your palms, warm it up and gently massage it into your skin in circular motions. Try not to apply a lot of pressure, the goal is to dissolve your make-up, not absorb it.
Step 4
Next, using a wet washcloth or baby wipes, wipe off the make-up from your skin. You’ll see that it comes off pretty easily. That’s it! When you see how effective coconut oil is for taking off your make-up, you’ll probably stop buying make-up removers.
But don’t forget to wash your face afterwards as you would normally. And speaking of washing your face, let’s show you the perfect way to do it if you want flawless skin.
