So we know how jittery you can feel on a first date and that nervousness can sometimes lead to a lot of first date mistakes. We won’t judge we promise, we’ve all been through it at some point. Some things however, are in your control and we can help with that.
6 first date mistakes you shouldn’t make:
1. Being on your phone a lot
The essence of a date is to get to know each other, so focus on the person in front of you and put the phone away please. If you absolutely have to receive a call take permission first.
2. Social media hounding
Stalking someone you just met is a catastrophe of epic proportions. You don’t need to add them on Facebook, snap chat, Instagram and retweet all their tweets too, it’s scary and screams desperate.
3. Making your ex a topic
Giving a guy the impression you still think about your ex is a bad idea. No one wants to be the one your settled for and getting hung up on your ex sends just that message and nothing else.
4. Extra high expectations
It’s fine expect to meet a cool guy when you go on a first date, easy conversations and a good laugh is perfectly normal, But expecting a perfect guy just freaks anyone one out and makes them want to run in the other direction.
5. Being a spoiled brat
Yes, you heard right. Don’t be that girl that complains about the food being too cold, or the waiter not being fast enough. Just don’t be rude. Any responsible guy won’t have it and he won’t call you the next day.
6. Bad mouthing yourself
There’s humility and then there’s downright low self esteem. Don’t list all your flaws and tell a guy how terrible you are at dating. It makes a guy feel like he settled for less and he’ll just aim higher.
So avoid all these mistake and try to relax and enjoy the moment, don’t think too much of it and in the end if it works, it works and if it doesn’t then there’s someone else out there for you.
