5 Major Mistakes Women Make In Relationships

Fear of settling down
There are many mistakes women make in relationships. They seem like smart ideas at the time but years down the line, we look back and regret every single one of them.
The only way to prevent these scenarios is to avoid making those mistakes in the first place.
Trying to change your partner
You find yourself borderline-obsessively in love with someone and they are not what you need them to be. Then you devote your energy to trying to turn them into what you want them to be. But the truth is, no one can change unless they want to. All the nagging, yelling, crying, threats and ultimatum in the world will not change a man who prefers himself the way he is.  You will save yourself many painful years by leaving that relationship and find a man who is already what you need.

Making him the center of your universe
When you are in a relationship, you should not forget your own needs. Have your own life. Build a career or a business, make some friends, take me-times. It’s okay to make some sacrifices for the relationship, but making too much will kill you inside little by little. You don’t want to wake up years down the line and realize that you’ve wasted so much time catering to someone else that you have nothing left for yourself.
Talking to/ listening to others about your issues
This is also one of the mistakes women make in relationships. Many times, you find it difficult to share your feelings with your partner, so you talk to everybody but him. Then you end up taking advice from others who couldn’t possibly understand the intricacies of your relationship. This will drive a possibly permanent wedge between you and your partner.

Constant comparison
Comparing yourself or your partner to others is a sure way to always be miserable and unhappy. You need to stop gauging how happy and successful you are as a couple by using other people’s standards.

Taking all the blame
One of the mistakes women make in relationships is trying to be martyrs. We believe any problem in a relationship has to do with something we did wrong. Sadly, instead of holding our partners accountable for their faults, we direct the blame inwards. And over time, this will lead to a lot of self-hate and insecurity.  And it does not end well.
