1. Muhammadu Buhari
This happens to be the sitting president.
President Buhari prior to coming into power had stated that he would be going for only one tenure.
However, few days ago, the president unveiled a new decision to run for a second term.
Although, prior to the official announcement, there had been speculations that the president would want to return to Aso Rock a second time.
We will know if he will continue to be the President or a new President will emerge.
2. Alh. Atiku Abubakar
This is a former vice president, who served alongside ex President Olusegun Obasanjo during his two terms.
Atiku, ever since leaving the seat of power have been trying to return to Ask Rock as president all to no avail.
Well, he has once again made his intention known and we hope he gets it right this time.
3. Omoyele Sowore
This is a fresh face in Nigeria political scene but a popular face in the media industry.
Sowore is the owner of popular and controversial media outfit, Sahara Reporters, which he operates from outside Nigeria.
The media mogul was a SUG president during his days at the University of Lagos.
Sowore has shown interest to be Nigeria’s next president and has been going viral on Social Media.
Imagine someone like Sowore as the President? We might get it right this time around.
4. Durotoye Olufela
This is also another new face in the Nigerian political scene.
Fela is a business consultant cum motivation speaker. He is the husband to Tara Durotoye.
Fela made his intention to be Nigeria’s next president in February.
And since then he has been on the move.
A man like this as the President of Nigeria, it will be nothing but a smooth ride.
5. Ayodele Fayose
He is the current Governor of Ekiti state.
Fayose has disclosed that when he leaves the seat as Governor, his next place of call would be Aso Rock.
The Governor is one of the lead voice popularly known for criticizing the Buhari led Federal Government.

Another person worth mentioning is Nigerian ex footballer, Kanu Nwankwo.
There had been rumors that went viral on Social Media that the star footballer was gunning for the highest position in the country.
However, Kanu is yet to confirm the rumors.
